Daily Outfit

A new semester has started already. It seems like only yesterday I was struggling through my final exam for chemistry whilst wondering which bastard changed the graduation requirements at my university in order to make it extremely hard for Arts & Humanities students to fulfill the science and math credit requirements and how could I kill him with a flugelhorn and then write a 2500-word paper on it using MLA-style.
But now it's time to put away the decorations and finish off the last of the chocolates and leftovers and to get back into the swing of close readings and procrastination for exactly 39 days when I get an unexpected, one-time only, two week break.

I've just finished watching every episode of Glee in a row on my computer and I found that the reason why I kept watching was because of Emma Pillsbury's bright, vintage-y style, which I am writing a post about. But what I found to be an original, why-didn't-I-think-of-that aspect of her style was wearing sweater guards on the collars of her blouses. So I decided to try it, what do you think?

Cardigan: thrifted and I embroidered it
Blouse: thrifted
Skirt: thrifted
Belt: thrifted
Tights: Hue
Shoes: The Bay
Sweater Guard: vintage via etsy

I love the sweater guard. I am so with you on Emma's style in glee- I am totally obsessed yet I lack the wardrobe to try and pull it off. I especially love how she is always wearing monochromatic outfits. They are just so darling!

Your outfit is so sweetly beautiful from top to bottom, especially the delightful embroidery work. I love the idea of using sweater guards and have been faving ("hearting") them on etsy for ages. These lovely photos remind me that next time I've got an extra penny kicking around, I really must pick up one or two.

Thank you deeply for all of your wonderful comments recently, honey, I sincerely appreciate them.

Big hugs,
