I love this skirt so much! I saw it on Vindemial Vintage and I had to have it! It reminds me of Disney in the Fifties. I can't recommend Vindemial Vintage enough, truly a wonderful seller and she includes a free top with her circle skirts and I love circle skirts and free clothing.

I chose this month's Cinema Tuesdays theme of Comedy Westerns because this semester I'm taking a special topics course on the Western with one of my favourite profs and we're watching a film a week, however none of them are comedies. I'd never really understood the appeal of the Western until now, as I always thought it had something to do with being American, but now I can see why Westerns were so popular and appealing and I feel bad about neglecting so important a genre. However, I still think that parodies of the Western genre are much more appealing then actual Westerns as everyone knows the Western formula and can understand why it is necessary to make fun of them without even knowing why John Wayne has become a mythic figure. Here is the original trailer for the best Western Comedy, which I wont be screencapping because that would ruin the humour.

Cute skirt!
My hubby's family has a thing for Blazing Saddles, about once each year all of the cousins get together to watch it. Much more fun in a group. I don't know how they got away with some of the things they did in that movie though, would be considered very un-pc today!
